November 2, 2017 – Cherry Kiss Games – a brand new publisher focused on creating the most authentic Visual Novel experience outside of Japan – has acquired rights to the Japanese folklore-inspired interactive visual novel Wild Romance! A version of this game is available already on Steam and Google Play but does not include adult content of the Japanese original on which it is based. The company has worked to translate and implement all the missing content and will also be releasing soon as a new complete adult-only English title. Wild Romance is the first of Norn/Miel’s games to come out in English and Cherry Kiss will be working with this leading Japanese developer to publish their catalog of VN titles in English and other languages.
Wild Romance follows the exciting story of Kazuma, a university student who returns to his Japanese countryside hometown where he reconnects with four female childhood friends. When the girls accidentally reveal that they are not mere humans but actually yokai, magical animal spirits in human form, a journey of discovery begins. With his companions by his side — Sumire the fox and leader of the pack, Tsubaki the determined cat, the youthful and energetic dog Aoi, and Nazuna the clever Japanese raccoon — Kazuma learns the hidden secrets of his hometown and discovers the supernatural world.
Wild Romance: Mofu Mofu Edition will be the first new product by Cherry Kiss Games. New features will include changing screen resolution to 16:9, adding sprite animations and overhauling the UI. The game will include some additional never before seen in English dialogue and in stores that permit distribution of adult-only content a complete English translation of all elements of the original Japanese title will also be provided. The full translation will more than double the narrative content of the game including full voice-over in Japanese of the main female characters. The company plans to allow existing Steam owners of Wild Romance a means to purchase Mofu Mofu Edition at a discount rate. Cherry Kiss Games expects to release Wild Romance: Mofu Mofu Edition before the end of November with details to be announced soon.
